Travel Physical Therapist - Adult Outpatient - $3,406 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of adult outpatient experience for a 13-week outpatient rehab assignment in Juneau, Alaska.

Responsibilities

• PT evaluations
• Treatment planning
• Implementation across a wide range of diagnoses and patient needs
• Oversees and directs the work of Physical Therapist Assistants, support staff, students, and interns
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, referring providers, and care conferences to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Develops and delivers patient and family education including home exercise programs with return demonstration
• Aids in durable medical equipment (DME) acquisition, fitting, and delivery coordination
• Maintains familiarity with billing procedures for Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers
• Adheres to APTA regulatory and practice standards
• Provides in-services, therapy consultations, and presentations to medical and interdisciplinary staff as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab required
• Entry-level qualifying master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required; or a master's or bachelor's degree from an APTA-approved program with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience demonstrating doctoral-level competency
• Active Alaska PT license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license required
• Flu vaccination required

Benefits

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
