Travel Physical Therapist - $2,022 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Norfolk, VA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following facility guidelines
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations and comply with state requirements
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team‑focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on the patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply
• For most candidates, 1 year of experience is preferred

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• State‑specific Physical Therapist license
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts.
