About the role
This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist specializing in Neurology. The schedule consists of 9-hour shifts, 4 days a week, plus one 4-hour shift on Friday.
The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist will direct all discipline-specific therapy services and design functional treatment programs to facilitate effective community reintegration while embodying the organization's mission and core values.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to create appropriate treatment plans focused on patient discharge goals.
- Document all patient care activities accurately, including medical record entries and assessments.
- Participate in student program activities as needed, providing supervision and feedback.
- Create and follow a professional development plan to foster continual growth in the discipline.
- Adhere to state practice acts, maintain licensure, and comply with all continuing education requirements.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience in Neurology specialty preferred.
