Travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist - $1,642 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Arlington, Texas. The position requires a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds‑RRT) with at least one year of recent acute care experience. You will provide direct patient care across a variety of clinical areas, performing evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations that require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (posting also notes “2 Years” in requirements list).
• NBRC‑RRT credential.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification (may be required in some areas).
• NRP certification (may be required in some areas).
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb when moving patients.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

• Shift: 12‑hour nights.
• Hours per week: 36.
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks.
• Employment type: Travel.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
