Travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist - $2,644 per week

About the Role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a travel position in Rapid City, South Dakota. The role requires a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) with at least 1 year of recent acute care experience. The therapist will provide direct patient care across a variety of clinical areas, performing evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. TotalMed Allied Job ID #1518099.

Responsibilities

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories.
• Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients.
• Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (note: requirements list also states 2 years).
• Current NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• PALS and NRP may be required in some areas; additional certifications may be required before assignment start.
• Physical demands: ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Start date: 11/15/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 36 hours per week. Shift: 12 hours, rotating. Employment type: Travel.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
