Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-Hour Days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum 2-3 years recent RN experience in a Level II or Level III Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Open Heart Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) setting
    • Open Heart Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience must be clearly documented in work history
    • Prior travel experience required
    • Recent Electronic Patient Records (EHR) experience, specifically with EPIC
    • Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN license at time of submission
    • Active certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Preferred Qualifications: None listed
  • Float rotation may be required, including floating to other units as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provides specialized care to pediatric patients, including highly complex cardiac cases in a dedicated open heart pediatric intensive care unit
  • Works closely with interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Monitors and documents patient progress and responses to treatment
  • Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Performs various diagnostic tests and procedures as directed by physician
  • Advises parents/guardians on patient care and discharge planning

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years recent RN experience in a Level II or Level III Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Open Heart Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) setting
  • Open Heart Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience must be clearly documented in work history

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
