Travel PCU / Stepdown RN - $2,254 per week

About the Role

Join the nursing team at a leading CommonSpirit Health facility as a travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment. This is a fast-paced, 22-bed unit focused on heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke patients. This is a Pre-screen + Auto Offer position for qualified, patient-oriented nurses with a positive attitude.

Contract Details

• Target Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts (Day and Night options available) with cyclic scheduling
• Every-other-weekend commitment and 1 major/1 minor holiday requirement
• All RTO must be submitted upfront

Requirements

• Experience: Must be highly comfortable reading/interpreting telemetry strips, managing CPAP, and titrating critical drips (Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro)
• Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are strictly required
• Radius Policy: You must reside strictly more than 50 miles away from the facility. A copy of your driver's license is required at submission to verify your address
• CommonSpirit Policy: Candidates who have worked at any CommonSpirit (including CHI/Dignity) facility as a perm, part-time, or PRN employee within the past 12 months are not eligible for this contract
• Artificial Nail Policy: Artificial nails are strictly prohibited in all patient care areas
• Orientation Exam: All travelers participate in a supportive, open-book skills exam during Friday orientation, requiring a 90% to pass
