Travel PCU Staff RN - $2,018 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Lancaster, Ohio.

About the Role

This travel nursing assignment lasts 13 weeks, starting on August 3, 2026. The position offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.
• Make independent decisions and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Supervise and direct the work of nursing assistants (NAs) professionally.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Manage urgent situations calmly and exercise self-control in high-stress environments.
• Communicate empathetically with patients and ensure their welfare.

Requirements

• Valid RN license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma in Nursing, ADN, or BSN).
• Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.

• Strong problem-solving and resolution facilitation.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
• Keen observation, accurate reporting, and organizational skills.
• Critical thinking and ability to prioritize tasks in urgent situations.
• Confidence in assertive interpersonal communication.

Physical & Cognitive Demands

• Physical: Heavy work involving exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Psychological/Mental: Ability to regulate emotions, manage stress, and remain calm in urgent or high-pressure situations. Must demonstrate empathy, care, and professionalism in patient interactions.
• Cognitive: Intact attention, memory, perception, and thought processes. Strong prioritization, observation, and problem-solving skills required.

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual pay may vary and is subject to change during the assignment.
