About the role

The travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit is needed for a 13-week assignment starting July 20, 2026, in Lancaster, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process.
  • Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.
  • Educate patients and families/significant others from admission through the discharge process.
  • Document the nursing process/pathway thoroughly, concisely, accurately, and legibly.
  • Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely.
  • Implement physician orders as written.
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions to the appropriate department.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program leading to a Diploma, Associate degree (ADN), or Bachelor’s degree (BSN) in Nursing.
  • Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to problem-solve and handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
