Travel PCU RN - Telemetry - $1,757 per week
About the role
We're looking for Progressive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Columbia, SC. The right RN should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care. Progressive Care Unit RNs utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting changes that enable intervention in life‑threatening or emergency situations. Close observation is necessary because many PCU patients receive significant amounts of complex medications, sometimes through intravenous lines that may need adjustment or titration. The PCU RN is also known as a step‑down nurse, and the PCU may be referred to as cardiac stepdown, medical stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown, or ER holding.
