About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Asheville, North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in a progressive care unit setting.
- Manage patient ratios of 2:1 in the ICU and 4-5:1 in the PCU.
- Work 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends, and supporting holidays.
- Floating policy applies, requiring assistance with bedside shift reports and provider procedures.
- Utilize equipment such as lift equipment, TTM, ventilators, IV pumps, and documentation systems like Cerner.
- Participate in on-call requirements and charge nurse responsibilities.
Requirements
- Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS.
- Medical ICU experience in a large facility.
- Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
- Advanced skills in ventilator management, critical care pharmacology, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and central line management.
- Experience assisting with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubations.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of medical ICU experience.
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
- Advanced skills in critical care pharmacology, hemodynamic monitoring, and central line management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
