About the role

Join our multidisciplinary team in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit in Asheville, NC, specializing in CV and vascular surgery. Our primary patient population includes individuals undergoing various surgical procedures such as open heart surgery, thoracic lung surgery, and overflow medical cardiology patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients post-operatively, including those with complex cardiovascular needs.
• Administer medications and perform assessments in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide patient education and support to enhance recovery and health outcomes.
• Utilize medical equipment effectively, including IV pumps and CADD epidural pumps.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative patient care.

Requirements

• Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Preferred candidates will have experience with CV surgery and vascular surgery populations.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
