About the role
The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced Step-Down Unit with a focus on patient safety and care. The unit is dedicated to receiving admitted patients from the Emergency Department, facilitating admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders, enhancing patient throughput and overall experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse range of diagnoses.
- Perform admission assessments and medication reconciliation.
- Initiate and manage acute care orders.
- Collaborate with team members to improve patient throughput.
- Floate to other units within the skill set as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent MedSurg, Telemetry (remote), and Step-Down (PCU) level experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
- Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider appreciated.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
6:45 AM - 7:15 PM with every other weekend required, no call, and assistance with holidays.
