About the role

Aya Healthcare is seeking a Travel PCU Registered Nurse in Roanoke, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a telemetry unit, intensive care unit (ICU), obstetrics unit (DOU), intermediate care unit (IMC), or step-down unit (Stepdown).
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including managing cardiac drips without titration.
  • Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
  • Perform non-invasive airway management and implement isolation precautions and PPE.
  • Work with rapid response/code teams and manage oxygen administration.
  • Manage isolation precautions and PPE.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
  • Skills in telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, manage Cardiac drips- no titration, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and Isolation Precautions/PPE.
