Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Pathologists' Assistant for a 13-week assignment in San Francisco, California. The position starts on July 20, 2026, and works 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, evenings.

Special Requirements
Must have one year of recent experience as a Pathology Assistant and valid license when needed in compliance with any state regulations. National certification through ASCP or equivalent such as AMT, AAB, HEW certifications preferred. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

Essential Work Functions
Support pathologists in the preparation, examination, and dissection of tissue specimens for diagnosis. Assist in autopsies, surgical pathology procedures, and laboratory operations. Ensure proper documentation and processing of specimens. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Implement time management skills to optimize workflow and turnaround times. Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure accuracy in specimen handling and documentation. Assist with proper maintenance of equipment, provision of adequate supplies, and cleanliness of the surgical pathology suite. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

- Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
