About the Role
Provides specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective recovery management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Monitor vital signs and anesthesia recovery
- Administer medications
- Respond to emergencies
- Document care
- Develop discharge instructions
- Collaborate with surgical teams
- Operate PACU equipment
- Participate in handoff communications
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum one year recent PACU RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move and assist patients and equipment
- Proficiency in reading, writing, PC use, and following instructions
