Responsibilities
- Provide specialized post-anesthesia care and assess patient recovery
- Administer treatments and monitor vital signs
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective recovery
- Document patient conditions and interventions
- Respond to emergencies and develop discharge instructions
- Operate PACU equipment and participate in patient handoffs to ensure continuity of care
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor recovery progress
- Administer medications and document all interventions
- Educate patients and families on post-anesthesia care
- Work effectively with healthcare teams and ensure compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- At least one year of recent PACU RN experience
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Preferred certifications: PALS or ENPC
- Critical thinking and excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina and proficiency in clinical and technical skills
