About the role
- Travel nursing opportunity for a PACU - Post Anesthesia Care RN in Salem, Massachusetts
- 13-week duration
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour evening shifts
- OR RN Days/Eves & Weekend Rotate – 36 or 40hrs
- 1-2 rotations to weekend per 4-week schedule; 1-2 rotations to Eves (1p-11:30pm) per 4-week schedule
- On-call required
- Shift options: 4x10's or 2x10's or 2x8's; mostly evenings 9:00am-7:30pm, 10:00am-8:30pm, 2:00pm-12:30pm, and 8:00am-6:30pm
- Unit: Operating Room – Level III Trauma OR; complex community setting
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Patient Population: Pediatric, Adult & Geriatric
- Bed Count: 15
- Census: approximately 30-40 patients per day
- EMR: EPIC
- Floating: Not required
- Rotating shifts: Required for Day shift (2-3 Eves per 4-week schedule; 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule); rotation not required for Night shift
- Call Requirement: 1 Holiday Call; 2-3 Weekday calls per 4-week schedule; 1-2 Weekends per 4-week schedule; weekend shift includes call (e.g., Working Sat. 7a-5:30p, Call 5:30p-11p)
Requirements
- Massachusetts RN License
- AHA BLS
- 2 years working in one location
- 2 years working as a Traveler
Skills
- Basic aseptic technique
- Circulating independently
- Multispecialty competence
- Experience with Mako and Da Vinci systems
Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- CNOR preferred
- Scrub experience preferred
