Responsibilities

• Staff will rotate through PreOp and PACU (Phase 1 & Phase 2) areas
• Float throughout the unit – Preop, PACU - Phase 1 and Phase 2
• Patient ratios: Pre-op: 1:3 or 1:4 (depending on acuity), Phase 1: 1:2, Phase 2: 1:4
• Case types include: GYN, General, Robotics (Bariatric, Prostate, Hernia, Gallbladder, Hysterectomy), Urology, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Podiatry, Plastics, Cataracts, ENT, ENDO (Colon, EGD, ERCP, Bronchoscopy)

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with PACU experience
• 1 year of experience required
• 1 prior travel assignment in PACU required
• Must have preop and PACU Phase 1 and Phase 2 experience
• Licenses: RN (Compact Accepted, copy needed)
• Certifications: ACLS (copy needed), BLS (copy needed), PALS (copy needed), Crisis Prevention Intervention (copy needed)
• SSN required, DOB required
• 1 reference in the last 12 months (from job within 5 years)
• Skills checklist within 12 months
• EMR: Epic
• IV pumps: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Omnicell

Schedule & On-Call

• Orientation: 3 days
• Weekend rotation: On call requirement – Friday night and weekend call, approximately every 8-10 weekends
• Holiday expectations: Discussed during interview
• Shift times: Vary based on need
• Schedule cycle: Every 8 weeks
• Scrub color: Provided
