Job summary

A registered nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) care is needed in a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for patients in the post-procedural phases of cardiac services and interventional radiology, with a focus on procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and cardioversions. The position requires flexibility to work day shifts from Monday to Friday, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the post-procedural phases of cardiac services and interventional radiology
• Manage conscious sedation and airway
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in cardiac and interventional radiology patient care
• Work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire
• Two years of experience in an acute care area (preferably Cath Lab), or ICU experience with post-cardiac care background

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with TEE and cardioversions at the bedside
• Knowledge of pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care of cardiac patients
• Ability to manage conscious sedation and airway
• Understanding of hemodynamics and hemodynamic instability

Schedule

8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (flexibility on hours for patient care). Duration: 13 weeks. Start date: 09/21/2026. End date: 12/26/2026.
