About the role

PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) registered nurse position providing post-anesthesia patient care with a focus on recovery and monitoring. The shift is scheduled for evening hours from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, following a four-week rotation based on departmental needs.

Schedule

• Evening shift: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts
• One 24-hour weekend shift and three nightly calls per month based on departmental needs
• Minimum response time of 30 minutes when on call

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia patient care, recovery, and monitoring

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Recent (within 2 years) pre-operative care experience preferred
• Must pass a PASS/FAIL ECG/Telemetry test and medication test during onboarding with only one attempt allowed (minimum score of 85%)
• Must be separated from any previous employment with the organization for at least 6 months
• No local travelers accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Biweekly orientation and IVS interview scheduling required
• Time off requests exceeding 4 days will not be approved
