About the role
A Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility located in Dublin, Ohio. This role involves providing post-operative recovery care to patients following anesthesia procedures. The RN will work five days a week with a day shift from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with no on-call or weekend commitments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs and manage pain control for patients recovering from anesthesia
- Ensure patient safety during the post-anesthesia recovery period
- Adhere to facility protocols including SOPs, AHA guidelines, and clinical competencies relevant to post-anesthesia care
- Manage multiple patients and respond swiftly to urgent situations
Unit Description
The PACU is responsible for patient recovery post-anesthesia. Agency staff may be reassigned to different shifts or units within the healthcare facility based on operational needs.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher
- Ohio-based residency or license
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting
Schedule
- Day shift: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- No on-call or weekend commitments
