Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $2,115 per week

About the role

The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The nurse will work in a collaborative environment that is committed to following ASPAN guidelines for patient ratios and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care in the PACU, PreOp, and Phase 1/Phase 2 recovery areas.
• Maintain a safe and effective environment that follows established professional and institutional protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and assist patients as they recover from anesthesia.
• Administer medications and manage IV lines per established guidelines.
• Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative recovery and home care.
• Respond to patient needs effectively while maintaining high standards of care.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Prior experience in PACU or critical care nursing preferred.
• Candidates must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips.

Pay

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
