Travel Orthopedic/Trauma RN - $1,946 per week

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specialized in Orthopedic and Trauma care. The ideal candidate will have experience in pre-operative and post-operative orthopedic treatments, managing elective and trauma patients with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:6, potentially stretching to 1:7. The role involves the use of Rapid Response Teams and requires the Registered Nurse to handle total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs, as well as orthopedic trauma cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic and trauma patients.
• Utilize safe patient handling equipment and orthopedic tools including CPM, knee immobilizers, and bone foam.
• Administer medications and monitor patient progress post-surgery.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant specialty.
• Active RN license required upon submission.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Prior charge experience is preferred.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shift: 12 hours, nights
