About the role
Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.
Responsibilities
- Must have at least 2 years of OR RN experience
- BLS required
- Experience with a majority following cases is required: Whipple, Esophagectomy, Ex Lap, Bowel resection, Thyroidectomy, Parathyroidectomy, Adrenalectomy-Laparoscopic, Neck dissection, Breast reduction, Stage one and two breast reconstruction, Free Flaps, Mastectomy, Lumpectomy, Sentinel lymph node biopsy, Melanoma excisions
- DaVinci experience highly preferred
- Oncology, Ortho, Neuro experience highly preferred
- Weeknight call requirements: 1-2 nights/week on average
- Weekend call requirements: Approx. every 4-5 weeks (24 hours Saturday OR Sunday, 1-2 days/month)
- Must have at minimum level 2 trauma experience, level 1 is strongly preferred
- Overall well-rounded RN needed as they will be working outside of specialty hired for
Requirements
- Must have at least 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, days
- Employment Type: Travel
- MUST HAVE Oncology Surgery experience with general surgery experience; float is required
Qualifications
- 100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY
- OR/SPT: Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Locals Accepted: NO
- Parking: Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost depends on the lot, but is approx. $55/month) or they can use daily rate parking ($3 to park for 20 hrs)
- Charting: EPIC required
- RTO: must be included at time of submission. No RTO during first week of orientation
