About the role
Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment starting July 27, 2026, working 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, primarily on day shifts with occasional night shifts and weekend rotations.
Responsibilities
- Operate in a 3/4 Neuro skillset environment
- Work 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
- May have up to 1-3 off-shifts per 4-week period
- Weeknight call requirements: 1-2 nights/week on average
- Weekend call requirements: Approximately every 4-5 weeks (24 hours Saturday or Sunday, 1-2 days/month)
- Must be available for weekend/holiday requirements as needed
- Must complete all required training and orientation within the first week
- Must be able to work in a variety of operating room procedures including Lap chole, Lap appy, Ex lap, I&D, Bariatric, Colorectal, PEG & Trach, DaVinci cases
- Experience with a majority of these procedures is required
- DaVinci experience is highly preferred
- Oncology, Ortho, and Neuro experience is highly preferred
- Must be 100% nicotine free
- Must provide proof of BLS certification
- Must be a first-time traveler
- Must not be a local to the facility
- Must obtain a parking permit or use daily rate parking
- Must go into labs within 48-72 hours of accepting the offer
Requirements
- At least 2 years of OR RN experience
- BLS certified
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Qualifications
Travelers must be able to meet the above requirements and preferences. Malone Healthcare does not accept locals and requires candidates to be more than 100 miles from the facility.
Skills
Must have a strong skill set in operating room procedures and be able to adapt to various surgical cases.
