Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation.
• OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass.
• Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.
• Department: OR RN.
• Certifications Required: BLS.
• Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.
• Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract.
• # of Suites: 6.
• Average # of cases per day: Over 400 per month.
• Common Cases: Adults and Peds, We are a mix of mainly outpatient procedures including ortho (including total joints and sports med), general, obgyn, robotic, plastics, ENT, Urology, hands, podiatry, breast reconstructions.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to handle total joints, robotics, general laparoscopic cases, urology, hand and foot, breast cases including reconstructions.
• No manager/Charge Nurse on each shift.
• OR techs: Yes.
• EMR: EPIC.
• Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1700 // OR supervisor will make schedule.
• Weeknight/Call Requirements: 6-7 call shifts per month.
• Weekend/Call Requirements: 2-3 weekends in a 13 week contract.
• Holiday/Call Requirements: Depending on needs at least 1 holiday call per year.
• Floating Requirements: Within the OR.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided.
• How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1-3 days.
• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
• Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.

Open to RNs with OR experience.

Skills

Must be able to handle total joints, robotics, general laparoscopic cases, urology, hand and foot, breast cases including reconstructions.
