About the role

The OR Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients during surgical procedures in a Level II Trauma center. This position involves scrubbing and circulating a variety of general OR cases, including trauma, uro, podiatry, ortho, plastics, neuro, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardio, bariatric, and robotic surgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Scrub and circulate for surgeries, maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call shifts and rotations as assigned.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff and first-time travelers.

Requirements

  • 3 years of OR nursing experience required; 2 years may be acceptable with strong experience.
  • Active RN license in the state of Maryland.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Experience with Da Vinci robotics and ability to scrub and circulate.
  • Travel experience is a plus.

Schedule

  • 13-week contract position.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • Mid 5x8-Hour Shift (14:45 - 23:15).
