Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the surgical setting. This position requires strong experience, particularly in orthopedic and gynecological cases. The OR operates similarly to an ASC, with a focus on general OR procedures including abdominal, orthopedic, gynecological, urology, and plastic surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting
• Assist with orthopedic and gynecologic procedures
• Ensure a sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• 2 years of strong relevant experience required
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact license
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; CNOR and NIHSS are preferred
• Proficiency in the following skills is preferred:
  • Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy
  • Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
  • Laparoscopic procedures
  • Robotic surgeries
