Travel OR RN - $2,357 per week

About the role

We're looking for Operating Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Billings, MT. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant. As an OR Travel Nurse you will assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, provide pre‑ and post‑operative care and education, and work within the operating suite either inside or outside the sterile field.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions.
• Serve as communication liaison between patients' families and the operating team.
• Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician; teach patients and families medication and home‑care management.
• Additional duties for Circulating OR Nurses: respond to patient comfort and safety needs; accurately care for and handle specimens; monitor equipment used during surgery; perform inventory of surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure.
