About the role

The operating room Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role requires proficiency in cardiac and general surgical procedures, as well as scrub and circulate experience. You will work closely with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and effective surgical interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac, vascular, orthopedic, general, ENT, urology, and robotic surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and responsiveness during surgical procedures.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years RN experience. At least 1 year of experience in a surgical specialty. Valid RN license in West Virginia or Compact RN License required.

Qualifications

Current BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS preferred. Proficient in surgical skills related to cardiac procedures and general surgeries.
