About the role

We’re seeking talented healthcare professionals whose adventure game is as strong as their clinical game. This travel nursing assignment is located in Anchorage, Alaska.

• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM Days with on-call requirements
• Unit: Surgery (OR) – 11 Operating Rooms, 70 staff members
• Traveler shifts: Days (0630-1900), “Swing” (0900-2130, 1100-2330)
• On-call requirements: Varies, approximately 4-5 shifts per 4 weeks
• Weekend requirements: On-call, possible scheduled shifts as unit requires

RN must hold an active Alaska permanent license and clear state background and fingerprint process to start the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform typical operating room procedures including:
  • THA, Anterior THA, TKA, TSA
  • Lumbar Spine, Cervical Spine
  • Lap Appy, Lap Chole, Hysterectomy
  • Abscess I&D, Amputations, pediatric Dental
  • CABG, AVR/MVR, Mastectomy
• Work in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
• Collaborate with a team of RNs, Surgical Techs, Charge RNs, Surgical Support Techs, and Anesthesia Techs

Requirements

• Must have experience in Orthopedics and Neuro
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Alaska RN permanent license
• Clear state background and fingerprint process

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Davinci XI, Vascular, ENT, General, or CV Surgery
