About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Preoperative Care team in an Acute Care setting in Wheeling, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care through effective scrubbing and preoperative processes. This role involves working with advanced surgical technologies, including robotics.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week, 12-hour rotating shifts
• 3 12-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends and evening shifts as per department needs
• Requires 1 scheduled weekend day and 1 second call weekend day per month

Responsibilities

• Manage preoperative care for patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Perform scrubbing duties as part of the surgical team
• Maintain IV skills and monitor patient health
• Documentation and charting using Allscripts (transitioning to EPIC)
• Participate in charge nurse and house supervisor duties as needed

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• Experience in surgical care and preoperative processes
• Strong IV skills are mandatory
• Familiarity with robotic surgical procedures is preferred

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
