About the role
This is a 13-week contract position for an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) in a busy operating room setting. The RN will provide high-quality surgical nursing care, working collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient patient experience during surgeries.
Schedule
12-hour shifts, 3 days a week; Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. Weekend and holiday call rotations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Participates in all phases of surgical procedures, providing nursing care and ensuring patient safety.
- Acts as a scrub nurse when necessary, passing instruments and assisting the surgical team.
- Responsible for patient assessments, education, and supporting surgical protocols.
- Participates in on-call rotations as scheduled, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
- 2-3 previous travel assignments are required.
- Experience in orthopedics and robotics (Da Vinci) is necessary.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
- Must have experience with all specialties for evening/night shifts.
