Travel Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Plans and directs daily activities associated with making travel reservations, issuing tickets, and providing travel information to passengers.
  • Maintains travel progress to ensure adherence to organizational quality standards and verifies that all travel arrangements meet safety benchmarks.
  • Trains staff on the use of specialized reservation equipment and coordinates with external vendors for large-scale group movements.
  • Manages the execution of theater entry and travel tasks for Special Operations personnel in the Pacific AOR.
  • Evaluates Regional Travel Status Reports to prioritize flight schedules and ensure the timely arrival of mission-critical staff.
  • Led coordination of local Administrative Teams to resolve complex processing issues affecting theaterwide readiness and command operations.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to subordinate staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 10+ years of position-relevant experience
  • Associate’s degree or a related field preferred
  • Certification in Government travel management preferred
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) and Isolated Personnel Report (ISOPREP) protocols preferred

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance required

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
