Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,395 per week

About the role

Operating Room (OR) Nurse located in Henrico, Virginia. The RN will support the surgical team within a busy operating environment, primarily focusing on total joint replacement procedures such as knee, hip, and shoulder surgeries. The role requires adherence to unit protocols and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during total joint replacement procedures (knee, hip, shoulder).
• Maintain sterile technique and provide scrub attire as required.
• Follow unit protocols and safety standards throughout each case.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other nursing staff to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Participate in on‑call duties for both weekend and weekday shifts.

Requirements

• Valid healthcare professional license.
• Familiarity with total joint replacement procedures, including knee, hip, and shoulder surgeries.
• Orthopedic and bariatric knowledge.
• Scrub attire provided by the operating room team.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in an operating room setting with orthopedic surgical procedures.

Schedule

• Shift: Days, 10‑hour shifts.
• Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• On‑call responsibilities required for both weekends and weekdays.
• Assignment length: 13 weeks (09/21/2026 – 12/21/2026).

Pay

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Competitive salaries are offered.
