Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,395 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse for an Operating Room position in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

About the Role

This position involves providing perioperative nursing care in a busy hospital environment. The role includes circulating and scrub duties across various surgical specialties, including trauma, general, colorectal, gynecology, and orthopedics, with potential on-call responsibilities. The schedule features rotating shifts and may require weekend coverage in a dynamic OR setting.

Responsibilities

• Circulating and scrub duties in main and north operating rooms, including trauma, general, colorectal, gynecology, and orthopedic procedures.
• Support in minor cardiovascular and neuro cases on call.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts totaling 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Typically dayshift hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Night call and weekend call are required, supporting trauma and urgent cases.

Orientation: One week of specialty-specific training, followed by weekend shifts. Orientation occurs Monday through Friday in the first week and Monday through Tuesday in the second week, with mandatory attendance for all days.

Requirements

• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• BLS (American Heart Association).
• ACLS (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN circulator experience.
• Active Illinois or compact RN license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Experience with Pyxis medication systems.
• Ability to operate independently during late stays and on-call rotations.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
