Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,325 per week

Job Summary

The position involves providing specialized nursing care to surgical patients across various procedures, including orthopedics, robotics, and neurology. The role requires clinical expertise in assessment, patient safety, documentation, and patient education within a fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Valid RN license required; BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of OR nursing experience.

Job Functions

• Demonstrate assessment skills, knowledge of growth and development stages, and deliver appropriate patient care.
• Perform direct patient care activities supporting the team and demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress.
• Exhibit professionalism and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Respond professionally and courteously to patients, families, and co-workers, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow safety standards including Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment relevant to surgical patients; individualize care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
• Prioritize and assume responsibility for patient care, adapting to changes in patient conditions.
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education, involving patients and families in teaching.
• Support patient testing and evaluate pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
