Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Valid RN license required; BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of OR nursing experience.
Job Functions
- Demonstrate assessment skills, knowledge of growth and development stages, and deliver appropriate patient care.
- Perform direct patient care activities supporting the team and demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress.
- Exhibit professionalism and adhere to policies and procedures.
- Respond professionally and courteously to patients, families, and co-workers, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
- Follow safety standards including Universal Protocol and patient identification procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment relevant to surgical patients; individualize care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
- Prioritize and assume responsibility for patient care, adapting to changes in patient conditions.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments and education, involving patients and families in teaching.
- Support patient testing and evaluate pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
