About the role
Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR) for a 221-bed teaching hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. This position involves providing direct clinical care to patients in the operating room, supervising staff, and supporting high-quality, safe nursing practices. The assignment runs from 08/17/2026 to 10/26/2026 (10 weeks) with a minimum of 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts.
Call duties are required one night per week Monday through Friday and every other weekend. The role requires wearing navy blue nurse scrubs and reporting to the staffing office located on the 1st floor, 1st hall on the left. Parking is available anywhere on-site.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and supervise direct patient care within the surgical environment
- Supervise staff to ensure quality care and maintain clinical competency
- Manage resources efficiently
- Participate in float rotation as required
Requirements
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Operating room experience preferred but not mandatory
- Must be located in Arizona or willing to relocate

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
