Responsibilities

Conduct clinical assessments to identify patient needs and determine the appropriateness of occupational therapy services.

Develop, implement, and periodically revise a Plan of Care (POC); document progress notes, revisions to the POC, phone orders, and other clinical records.

Provide direct therapeutic interventions addressing ROM, strength, coordination; assess need for adaptive equipment; assess environmental modifications and functional mobility to support ADL performance; fabricate and maintain adaptive equipment and hand splints.

Evaluate patient occupational performance across self-care, work, and leisure domains; assess sensory-motor, psycho-social, and cognitive-perceptual components; consider physical, social, and cultural factors of the patient’s environment.

Apply infection control and universal precautions; protect patient confidentiality; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; consult with treating physicians as needed.

Document procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records; communicate relevant patient information to physicians and caregivers.

Support compliance with third-party payers through education and documentation; perform equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance as required.

Requirements

• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist (Colorado)
• CPR certification
• Current driver’s license
• Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
• At least two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting
• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
