This role involves providing inpatient therapy services, primarily focusing on patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, stroke, cardiac conditions, orthopedic issues, and other neuro-related cases. The position offers an opportunity for candidates with acute care experience who are open to travel assignments. Job Details: Schedule: Days shift, 8-hour shifts, starting at 6:30 am, with staff working until 6:30 pm including a 30-minute lunch break. The schedule is variable, coordinated by the staffing captain. Required Qualifications: No specific certifications listed; candidates must hold a valid license to submit; minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, including experience with ortho, neuro, and cardiac patients. Experience with bedside swallow evaluations, modified barium swallow studies, and cognition assessments is preferred. Spanish speaking candidates and those with experience in outpatient or home health are preferred. Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience, ICU experience, pediatrics (including lymph edema, vestibular, wound care), and experience with physical disabilities are preferred but not mandatory. Additional Information: The role includes floating between hospital units and to acute rehab, with a one-day hospital orientation followed by 2-3 days of unit-specific orientation. The team utilizes Cerner charting system. First-time travelers are welcome. Holiday & Weekend Schedule: Every other Saturday or Sunday, with participation in holiday coverage via sign-up. Candidates who can cover all weekends and have a weekday off are preferred. Shift Coverage & Flexibility: Able to work 8-hour days with varied start times. The facility allows cancellation of up to four shifts within a 13-week assignment or three shifts in shorter assignments. Additional Requirements: Must have a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and hold BLS certification.
