About the role

The School Occupational Therapist will provide therapy services to students in a variety of settings within the school district. The position requires a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensure to practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students with disabilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Document therapy sessions and progress reports
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and adolescents with special needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
  • Ability to adapt therapy sessions to meet individual student needs
  • Proficiency in using assistive technology
