Travel Occupational Therapist position in Urbana, Illinois. The role involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages, serving as a role model in professional service delivery, and acting as a clinical resource for staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient transfers with assistance as needed from bed, chair, and floor.
• Demonstrate safe and appropriate body mechanics to reduce injury risk.
• Design and adjust an appropriate plan of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plans based on patient response and evidence.
• Educate patients, family, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluate clinical findings to determine occupational therapy diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Perform examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to the chief complaint, screening results, and history.
• Screen patients to determine the effectiveness of and need for therapy services.
• Use support personnel according to legal standards and ethical guidelines, providing regular feedback.
• Document evaluations, plans of care, goals, treatment modifications, and patient responses according to department policy.

Requirements

• Occupational Therapy (OT) license from Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NICU/PEDS experience (required for this position).

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
