About the role
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, plan and implement therapeutic programs as prescribed by the ordering physician, manage a full caseload, and regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients, ensuring comprehensive assessment and ongoing care.
- Plan and implement therapeutic occupational therapy programs in accordance with physician prescriptions.
- Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs for patients.
- Independently manage a full caseload while adhering to insurance authorization protocols for re-evaluations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Work in accordance with state and federal holiday operations as needed.
Requirements
- Active Hawaii State license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working with adults in both outpatient and acute settings.
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross.
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete an employee health appointment on Friday.
Schedule
- Duration: 26 weeks
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Shift: 8 hours, days
Pay
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
