About the Role

This travel nursing position is in a telemetry unit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment. The role requires 48 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts for a duration of 13 weeks, starting August 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
  • Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
  • Observe and record patient conditions, reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of cardiac status and response to interventions.
  • Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies.
  • Document nursing history and physical assessments for assigned telemetry patients.
  • Initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Requirements

  • One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN.
  • Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Current ACLS Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification.
  • NIHSS certification.
  • Other relevant certifications and licenses as required.

  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending written instructions, following verbal instructions, and using PC skills.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
