Travel Nurse RN Telemetry position in Independence, Missouri. Specialty: Telemetry; Discipline: RN; Duration: 13 weeks; Employment Type: Travel.

Unit overview: 36‑bed unit with 70 staff members. Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT (full staffing). Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RN/LPN, and 3 PCT (full staffing). Patient ratio is 4 to 5:1. Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen vital signs machines. EMR system is Meditech. The role may require floating to other telemetry, med‑surg, and PCU units. Ideal candidate is a fast‑paced, high‑energy individual with a strong sense of teamwork.

Requirements

• Active ACLS certification
• Experience recovering post‑cath patients (no sheath removal)
• Experience with pacemaker placements
• Experience managing stroke patients
• Experience with amiodarone drips
• Experience with Cardizem drips

Preferred Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification (or NIH experience)
