About the Role
Malone Healthcare is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for a Stepdown unit position in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This is a 13-week travel assignment with a target start date of September 14, 2026, requiring 36 hours per week on night shifts (12 hours: 1830–0700 or 0630–1900) with a cyclic scheduling pattern and an every-other-weekend requirement.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in a 22-bed fast-paced stepdown unit with frequent admits and discharges.
- Manage a 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio with CNA support at 1:10.
- Titrate drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitro.
- Float to ICU if appropriately experienced.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Must comply with a strict 50-mile radius rule (driver’s license required at submittal for verification).
- Candidates cannot have been employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year.
