About the role
NuWest Travel Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Skilled Nursing for a 13-week assignment in De Pere, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in LTC/SNF/LTAC/Rehab/Short Term Stay Units
- Perform wound care, stoma care, Wound Vacs, Peg tubes, J-tubes, G-tubes, Foley Catheter Care, IV pumps, Tube Feed Pumps, basic trach care (no ventilators)
- Administer IV fluids and Antibiotics, start IVs, and draw labs (IV certified preferred but not required)
- Work under 40 hours per week on an 8-hour shift, nights
- Be comfortable floating to all units within the facility (Rehab, SNF, LTAC, LTC, Short Term Stay Units)
- Work with patient ratios of 15:1 (can be as high as 18-20:1) for Short Term Stay and Rehab setting, 25:1 typically for LTC/SNF
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in LTC/SNF/LTAC/Rehab setting
- BLS/CPR certification
- Preferred IV certification
- Subject to float (comfortable floating to all units)
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing
- Knowledge of PCC EMR (if applicable)
- Ability to work in various unit types including LTC/SNF/LTAC/Rehab/Short Term Stay Units
