About the role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Surgical Intensive Care (SICU) position. This is a 13-week assignment starting 09/07/2026 with a 36-hour work week, 12-hour day shifts (7a - 7pm), and rotating weekends.
Unit details:
- ICU/Surgical ICU with 26 beds
- Staff: 15 (13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech)
- Patient ratios: 1:2; 1:1 for high acuity including post CABG patients (estimated, not guaranteed)
- Equipment: Balloon pumps, CRRT, Hypothermia, ECMO
- EMR: Meditech
Responsibilities
- Provide care for critically ill surgical patients in the SICU
- Manage high-acuity cases including post CABG patients
- Operate specialized equipment such as balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia devices, and ECMO
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
