About the unit
SICU with 26 beds and a team of 15 staff members per shift:
- Day Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech
- Night Shift: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech
Equipment and systems used on the unit:
- Balloon pumps
- CRRT
- Hypothermia
- ECMO
- EMR: Meditech
Typical procedures performed on the unit:
- Trauma patients
- Post-CABG
- Post-TAVR
- General post-surgical ICU patients
- Chest tubes
- Central lines
- Medication drips
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year current acute care ICU hospital experience
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIH certification
